Tic-Tac-No started in 2016 as a C++/cocos2d-x mobile game. This is its modern remake for the web: nine small tic-tac-toe boards inside one big one, and a single twist that changes everything. The cell you play decides which board your opponent must play in next, so every move is also a move for them.
Win a small board with three in a row to claim it for good. Claim three boards in a row, or five boards in total, to win the game.
What it does
- Two players, one device: pass the phone or share the laptop. The boards you may play in light up, everything else dims.
- vs Computer: Easy, Normal and Hard opponents, from casual to an alpha-beta search that plans several moves ahead and never sends you to a board that wins you the game.
- Made for every screen: the board stays square and readable on a phone in portrait and on a laptop, and the whole game is playable with the keyboard.
- Small touches: marks that draw themselves in, claimed boards that fill with the owner’s color, and sound effects synthesized in the browser.
